Game Play Rules

Initial Set Up: Njuka also called Twins and Followers is card game where players compete against each to create a winning hand. The game is played with a deck of 52 playing cards.

Objective: The objective of Njuka is to be the first player to create a winning hand of 4 cards containing two twins (cards of the same value) and two followers (cards that follow each).

Getting Started:

Tables have a minimum bet ranging from K2.5 to an established upper limit. A player must select the minimum bet they would like to play for - to be allocated to an open seat at a random table or at a private table.

Private Table Limits are established by the player who sets up the table. Player may join a private table by entering the table code.

The Shuffle - Cards are shuffled and distributed to players using a Random Number Generation (RNG) Algorithm. For enhanced transparency – the number of cards left in the deck are always displayed and at the end of each game- players hands are always revealed.

Playing the Game/The Rules

Bets are placed by all players – the house commission is deducted and the pot amount is displayed which is paid to the winner.

After the bets are placed, players receive an initial 3 cards from the dealer.

Players take turns drawing a card from the deck to get a 4th card. The game will be over, when any player draws a 4th card that results in a winning hand (2 twins and 2 followers)

If the 4th card drawn does not give a player a winning hand- the player must decide which of the 4 cards to discard and place back onto the table.

All cards that are discarded can then be claimed by another player-if that card is required for any of the players to create a winning hand. The game will then be over.

If there is no winner, the next player then draws a card from deck and this process continues until there is a winner.

A winning hand contains two twins (cards of the same value) and two followers (cards that follow each). An Ace is only followed by a 2, While a 10 can only follow a 9 card, while face cards only follow each other.

The game automatically starts a new round if a player does not leave the table within the specified time frame.
